URGENT: A reninder that the Bray Runners Invitational event is being held this coming Tues 23rd June.at the track in Greystones. Entries closed last Wed. night and only athletes
who have entered can compete, as we are only allowed a limited number of athletes. Athletes need to arrive at 6pm for check-in and warm-up as events must start at 6.30pm sharp.
No training on that night for 6-7pm & 7-8.30pm groups due to this event!
Little Athletics will go ahead as usual from 5-6pm!
Absolutely no entries on the night!.
. SUMMER BREAK FOR YOUNGER ATHLETES
We will take a break from training for the summer for the age 5-6 & age 7-11groups (ie 5-6pm and 6-7pm), finishing up with a fun evening on Tues. 30th June. Already the numbers have dropped
off a lot, particularly on Fri evenings, so there is little point in trying to carry on. U12 Athletes competing in the National B Championships on Saturday 18th July may attend the later training
sessions. We will return on Tues.8th Sept., which allows a week to settle back in to school first. Please note that the older groups which train from 7-8.30pm will continue throughout the
summer, as we have a lot of competition during this time. We will take a short break in August before returning on Tues. 1st Sept. to prepare for the XC season.
AWARDS/REGISTRATION CARDS
We will make a final attempt to give out the awards and medals on Tues 30th June between 6.30 & 7.30pm, as there are still a lot that haven’t been collected. Registration cards will also be
available again that night. If anyone is available to help for an hour on that Tues evening we would really appreciate it. Athletes may collect their awards themselves, but the registration cards
are addressed to the parents, so we cannot give them to the athletes. Athletes are now being issued with Life Registration cards and won’t be getting replacements every year. This is the number
that will be used for all your future entries. Most cards have arrived, but there are still a few to come.
FURTHER REMINDER RE WEBTEXT MESSAGES
Information texts are sent out fairly regularly by the club. It is fine to reply to this number if you are just confirming something. However, if you have a question that requires an answer that
day, please text Theresa directly on 0868635797, as a lot of the time I am not in a position to answer webtext replies. This msg. has been sent out on several previous occasions, but the number
is still being used a lot for queries!
