URGENT NEWS
ATHLETICS LEINSTER have brought all their closing dates for entries forward, by one week. Consequently entries for the U9/10/11 pairs competition, the U12 Championships and the Junior Championships on Sat. 25th May are now due in this Friday 10th May.  A sign up form is now available on our web-site and anyone wishing to compete needs to fill this in immediately, with their choice of events. For the pairs event, athletes just need to choose their events and the coaches will sort the pairs. U12’s are individual events and can choose up to 3 events.  Leinster will not accept late entries under any circumstances, so if you wish to take part, fill in the form by Thurs. morning latest. Apologies for the short notice, but it is out of our control.

COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIPS
Entries are now closed for this weekend’s County Championships. Athletes taking part, should arrive by 10.15am latest to allow time for check-in, warm ups etc. Programme of events is on the sidebar on the web-site. Athletes who have signed up and then fail to attend will be liable for entry fees paid on their behalf.

RELAY TEAMS
Relay trials took place on Tues 30th Apr. and teams for Leinster relays were chosen from these. As these entries had to be posted last Thurs., anyone who added their name to the list after this time could not be included. These teams are now posted on the web-site.  Teams for the Wicklow Championships will be posted shortly. While we are using the trials to sort these also, we are trying to inlude everyone who has put their name forward. Athletes who signed up for relay teams are reminded that there are 3 other team members depending on them to show up.

AWARDS
Apologies for the delay handing out the awards that weren’t collected on the night. With the Championships so close, our coaches have been putting all our efforts into getting as much practise as possible at all events, in preparation. Consequently we didn’t have anyone available to hand these out. They will be available for collection at the club tent during the Championships on Sat/Sun.

WORKSHOPS
There are still  two workshops to go in Greystones over the next two Thurs. nights. So far attendance from the club has been poor, but hopefully will improve for the last two.

Thursday May 9th – Shot + Discus Workshop – Greystones 7.00 – 9.00pm
Open to all Coaches and athletes over 12. Cost: €5 per Athlete/Coach
Thursday May 16th – Hurdles + High Jump Workshop – Greystones 7.00 – 9.00pm
