CONGRATULATIONS
Well done to club athletes Padraig Lennon, Dylan Grimes Larkin & Jack Lacey Curtis who represented Slí Cualann today at the Leinster Junior XC. Joined by Donal Flannery, the boys were club team silver and county team bronze medal winners! A spcial word to Padraig, who battled on despite injury to ensure the team finished.
Well done to all our relay teams also, Girls U16 Sinead O'Neill, Anna Hayes, Lisa Dallaghan, Richael Browne 4th and Rosa Kirwan, Zoe O'Donnell, Rebecca Murphy, Alison Dawson Whelan 7th. Girls U14 Sophie Nicholson, Megan Healy, Aoife McTague, Alannah Ryan 7th, Joy Spendlove, Sarah O'Connor, Elana Mulcahy, Grace Kirwan 13th. Girls U12 Iseult Brosnan, Megan O'Brien, Ava McKechnie, Alice O'Neill 11th. Boys U12 Joe Dowd, Jay Caffola, James Nicholson, Alan Gordan 5th.

SPORTSHALL
While we had smaller numbers this year for our Sportshall competition, it was a very successful event and everybody seemed to really enjoy the day. A huge thank You to Noreen O’Reilly from Inbhear Dee, all our club coaches and everyone else who helped out on the day!

***  REGISTRATIONS ***
As weather conditions were so bad last Fri that people couldn’t travel, we have arranged to take registrations again tonight Tues 22nd from 5-8.30pm. Registrations can only be accepted at this time and  should not be handed in to the Shoreline Centre reception at any time or given to the coaches on the track. This will be the last registration day and we are sorry, but unregistered athletes cannot be allowed on to the track after this date, as they will no longer be covered by insurance!

***LEINSTER INDOORS***
The Leinster Indoor relays and the Junior competition take place at the new indoor track in Athlone on Saturday 2nd Feb. Entries are now closed for this and numbers were very disappointing indeed. The individual juvenile events take place on March 9th/10th. All athletes interested in competing in the individual events must get their names to Theresa by this Fri  Jan 25th very latest. Numbers to date are also very disappointing. Once names are in we will be organising event specific training sessions for those athletes who have committed to taking part. No late entries can be accepted.

TRAINING DAY
We have a throws training day on Sat 26th Jan. from 10-12am for U13’s to adult. Events this week will be shot putt and discus Only 8 places available and 3 are gone already! Please contact Theresa immediately if you are interested in throwing and would like to attend this session and try these events. A further day for javelin and hammer will follow.

FIT4LIFE
The first Fit4Life race of the year will be hosted by Greystones AC on his Thurs 24th Jan. It is a 2 mile out and back race, open to all. Check-in at Shoreline Sports Park at 7pm, race starts at 7.30pm. Cost €5. Prizes to first 3 men & 3 women in each category + spot prizes! Help with stewarding etc. would be appreciated.
