Well done to everyone who trained so hard and competed so well during the Track & Field season. It was a very long and very successful season this year, culminating in a very rewarding day at the National League final on Aug 19th. Congratulations to all the medal winners and to all who achieved new PB’s this season!
TRAINING
We hope that our older athletes are enjoying their short break and that our younger ones are well refreshed by now. Apart from those on the League teams, all group 1& 2 members (7-8.30pm
groups) should start back running this week ( if they haven’t started already) starting with 15-20 mins for Group 1 and 10-15 mins for Group 2 every second day and increasing by 5 mins every
couple of runs, so that you return ready to train. These two groups will return to training on Fri 7th Sept. at 7pm.
All younger groups ( 5-6pm & 6-7pm) will return on Tues 11th Sept. This allows the children a chance to settle back into school before starting training.
NB MEMBERSHIP LIST
As notified in the Newsletter on the 6th July, we have revised the members list over the summer and removed the names of athletes who haven’t attended for a month or more and haven’t contacted us
as requested to explain absences. Should athletes who have been removed from the list for non attendance wish to return, they will have to go back on the waiting list until a place becomes
available again! We have taken on a number of new members and are full to capacity at present!
BAG PACK
Volunteers age 14 to adult needed for a bag-pack in Tesco in aid of our club. Groups of people needed for 2 hour stints throughout the day! If you can lend a hand at any stage during the day,
please contact Helen on 0879881760
LUCOZADE SPORT CAPS
Would anyone who has been collecting caps on our behalf please drop them into Shoreline Sports Park by the weekend, as the collection has to be handed over early next week! Thanks to all who have
collected for us, in particular the Shoreline staff who have done the bulk of the collecting!

include an optional fun event on the Sun. afternoon. This weekend is open to athletes aged 14 to adult only and numbers will be strictly limited.

jump and Hurdles on Fri 14th. These will take place between 6-8.30pm and will cost €5 per session. Please let Theresa know if you wish to attend, as athlete numbers will be limited and these
sessions are open to other clubs also. As there will be two sessions each night, all coaches should have an opportunity to avail of at least one of them, should they wish to attend.
