COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIPS
What a fantastic weekend for our club. Great weather, a good number turning out (though there could have been a lot more from some groups) and great performances all round. The club won tons & tons of medals and I doubt they will even need to count the points up to see who wins the overall T&F award this year! Well done to everyone……..champions all! A huge 'Thank You' to all the coaches who looked after the athletes and officiated at events over the weekend.........it wouldn't happen without them! Thanks also to all the  parents who helped out! Results will be posted on our website as soon as they become available.
Congratulations to our adult members Carol Costello and Clare Ryan on their great marathon runs in Kildare!
COMBINED EVENTS
Next Sun we have the Leinster Combined events here in Greystones, with competition from U14 to adult. Great event with small numbers taking part usually……..worth a try guys! Names to Theresa by Wed. evening latest. Ask for details tonight at training.
RELAYS
Relay teams for Leinster Championships must be sorted tomorrow. Names were taken already, but as there has been a change of venue and also of date for some ages, we will take names from anyone who now finds they are available to run. If you have given your name already and are still available that’s fine, but if not available please let Theresa know by tomorrow evening latest! Despite forms and promises for the Counties, several athletes let relay teams down last weekend and we don’t want anyone travelling all the way to Tullamore if we don’t have full teams!.
XC  LEAGUE
Medals will be given out this week to everyone who did 3 or 4 of the XC League races! Well done to all of these. We lost the overall trophy to Inbhear Dee this year due to our numbers participating being a lot smaller than last year. We’ll have to get more out there in 2012/13 and win it back again!
LUCOZADE SPORT CAPS
Our club is signed up to be part of the Lucozade Sport promotion, where we collect as many caps as possible from Lucozade sport bottles and try to win up to €10,000 for the club. Collection  jars are available at the track reception  area and we are asking  all members to help with this collection, if you can. Ask all your friends and relatives to hold on to their bottle caps for you. A big ‘Thank You’ must go to Shoreline, for allowing us do this on their premises and for supplying most of the collection so far! Come on guys, start collecting………this money will be spent to make a better club for all of you!
