ATTENDANCE DAY TRIP
The Day Trip to Eco Adventure at Knockree hostel, help on Sat 28th Apr was a tremendous success. We have only heard good things about the day, with everyone really enjoying themselves. A huge ‘Thank You’ to Laura O’Neill, who did so much work counting up the points and organising this trip and to all the coaches who went along on the day to help out. We are already counting attendances towards the next trip………...make sure you don’t miss out!

EAST LEINSTER SCHOOLS
They may have been competing for a variety of schools today in the East Leinsters, but Greystones AC athletes produced tremendous results in the most apalling weather conditions! It was all boys events today with Jamie Cullen cruising to victory in the Intermediate 800m, a resounding win for Padraig Lennon in the U16 mile, victory for Luke Campion in the junior 800m and a bronze for Steven Diggin, Gold for Scott Howard in the minor 800m & for Jamie Fallon in the 80m and bronze for Cian Baldwin in the 500m. Conor Dempsey, & Jamie Fallon were also on the relay team that finished 4th in the junior event. Well done to all !

Day 2 of the East Leinsters was another good day for Greystones AC athletes! Results that we know to date: Lynda Earls took silver in the senior hurdles and Aoife Conroy took bronze, while Aisling Moore took Gold in the Intermediate. Padraig Lennon added a win in the Intermediate 1500m Steeplechase to yesterday's mile title and Claire Foley took gold in the 100m. Conor Dempsey took gold in the junior long jump and silver in the 200m and Lisa Dallaghan took bronze in the high jump. The award of the day for Sportsmanship must go to Dylan Grimes Larkin, who was given the bronze medal in the senior 5K by officials who, despite his protestations, stopped him a lap early in the race. Dylan insisted on returning the medal to be given to the next athlete who finished the full course. Dylan was on target for a big new PB in this race. A true sportsman and a very promising athlete.......we applaud you!

Results so far for Day 3 of the East Leinsters on Thurs, Claire Foley followed her 100m win on Wed. with another win in the 200m, Amy Howard was 2nd n the 1500m with Aisling McCabe 3rd, Aoife Conroy was 3rd in the 400m and Lynda Earls was 3rd in the 100m hurdles. At U16, Katy Conroy took gold in the mile.
