Well done to everyone who took part in the Leinster Championships in Navan last Sunday. Congratulations to Emma Quirk and Ellen McNally who won gold in the U9 long jump and to Emma and Erin O’Brien Howard who were 4th in the 300m. Congrats also to Eoin Taggart who won silver in the 1500m at the Juniors in Kilkenny on Sun and to Niamh Kearney who ran 2.19 for 800m in Manchester.

Next Tues we have the County team competition in Greystones from 6pm – 8 or possibly 8.30pm. This is for U9-U15 with teams of 4 competing and is a very enjoyable event. You must be willing to stay for theentire event, as otherwise your team will not be able to finish the competition. Names to Theresa asap.

A REMINDER OF OTHER UP-COMING COMPETITIONS
Please note the closing dates for entries, as no late entries are being taken this year by Leinster. Leinster Seniors/Masters is in Tullamore on June 5th and we need names and events right away please.

• The Bray Invitational event will be held on Tues 14th June in Greystones and once again we have beeninvited to take part. Names for this one by Fri 10th June, please.
• Co. 3k/5k is on Greystones on Wed 15th June at 7.30pm
• Next event is the Leinster Team competition for U9-U15’s on Sat. Jun 11th in St Abban’s Monavea. A lovely relaxed competition with teams of 4 athletes doing two events each plus a relay. Names to Theresa by June 1st latest for this one.
• Leinster U13-U19’s is the following weekend Jun 18th/19th in Tullamore. U13-16’s can do 3 events andU17-19’s 4 events. Names and choice of events to Theresa by June 1st also please.
• National Juniors/U23’s are Sun. 26th Jun and we will need names for this by June 9th, please.(Junior is U17-U20)
