Well done also to allwho competed in the 1st round of the XC league on Sun. last. Greystones are off to a great start towards the overalltrophy. The next League race is in Roundwood on Fri 13th Nov at 6.30pm, under lights.
This Sunday we’re off to Adamstown in Wexford for the Leinster uneven ages. We have 3 teams, U11 girls and U13girls & boys, and a small number of individual competitors. Once again these
athletes will also be representing Co.Wicklow as part of the County teams. We wish them all well and are hopeful of some qualifications for Nationalsagain. Athletes need to be there by 10.30am at
the very latest as we have an earlier start this week.
Friday Training
We have moved our Fri training to the Shoreline Community centre hall for our 6-7 pm groups. Groups 1&2 willremain on the track for another week before also moving down.
Musculo-Skeletal Screen and Fundamental Movement Scans. On the 6th November in Shoreline Sports Park, we will be holding a Musculo-Skeletal Screen and FundamentalMovement Scan for all
athletes within County Wicklow. This is open to athletes over the age of 14 and will helpathletes with their development. All athletes who are on the Wicklow Talented Athlete Squad will be free
of charge.Any athlete18yrs or under €5 and Adults €10. Only available to persons over the age of 14yrs. Time slots are available from 10am-4pm, each slot 20mins long with approx 20 slots to
fill during the day. This is awonderful opportunity and a very useful tool for this time of year, for all athletes and coaches, to aid athletes in theirpreparation for 2011. Please ring
0868635797 asap to book your preferred time. Time slots will be arranged accordingto availability. This will be on a first come first served basis.
Musculo-skeletal screen: will analyse posture, assess flexibility and look at potential problem areas. Fundamental Movement Scan: will look at 7 different types of movement patterns used by
the body. This will allowfor identification of weak links in the movement chain. The scan will be videotaped . Analysis: Each scan will be analysed using Dartfish video analysis software.
Each athlete will receive a score from thescan. A summary will be given to each athlete explaining the screen and areas that need to be improved in order to getgreater performance in each
movement and there event. Sample Exercises: Sample solution exercises with pictures and step by step explanations will be available for theathletes to get them started. These exercises will
be broken into the different areas that are weak and the beginnerexercises will be explained.
New Athletes
There are still a good few athletes who have not returned their registration forms yet. Please bring themt to trainingin an envelope with a copy of your birth/baptisimal cert and €15 to cover
registration and insurance till the end ofDec.Those who have not returned their forms will not be able to attend further training sessions until they are properlyregistered.
Adult Training
The adult road running programme has started on Tues & Fri and while numbers are low so far, we are hopefully thatthey will grow over the next few weeks. The Fit4Life sessions on Mon/Wed/Fri

Many of you probably have spikes at home that are in perfect condition, but are just too small. We have a number of athletes looking for spikes and having difficulty finding them. If anyone has
spikes that they would like to sell on, please let us know and we will try to sell them for you.
